This quote comes from was told to me by the worst mental health professional in the most bat shit crazy appointment ever. Instead of taking the time to listen and assist, this person belittled and berated me with a list that goes well beyond this one quip. Before ending she made sure to double down and left me with the gem, "just remember, your existential dread is not depression." I believe 100% in therapy and working on your mental health. The majority of folks working in the industry are an incredible resource and can be invaluable tool. That experience left me not only shaken and unhinged but suicidal. People were horrified when I told them the whole story, but I also found that laughing about the insanity of it helped me put the whole event behind me. I wanted to make these shirts both as a giant fuck you to her but to also pull some humor and get some good from that whole mess of a situation.
